The land of medicine

Character “Qi” of Qichun is mystical and interesting. Chinese geographic history book Taiping All words records：“Qichun is famous for its abundant herbs growth at the bend of the river”.Ci Hai notes:“Qi”，vanilla， a kind of herb.”Qichun is named by the herb，that is rare in China.”

以药成名之地

蕲春的“蕲”字，很神奇。中国地理志史——《太平寰宇记》记载：蕲春，以水隈多蕲菜而得名。《辞海》注释说：“蕲，香草，药草也！”蕲春这个以药命名的县，在国内更是少见。

Where is Qichun? It’s located in East Southern Hubei province， with Chang jiang River to its south， Dabie Mountain to its North. It takes about two hours to reach Wuhan、Nanchang and other 13 cities from Qichun. Qi chun is the midpoint of Jingjiu Railway. Hurong Freeway，Mayang Freeway，Changjiang Waterway，Dabie Mountain Highway ，Huang huang high speed railway and Qitai Freeway are built across the county and make transportation more convenient.

蕲春在哪里？她位于湖北省东南部，南临长江，北依大别山，2小时左右可以到达武汉、南昌等13个大中城市，是京九铁路的中点，沪蓉高速、麻阳高速、长江黄金水道、大别山腹地公路和黄黄高铁、蕲太高速贯穿全境，进出往来十分便利。

A scenic place

Qichun’s scenery is beautiful and charming. Located at northern latitude 30 degree. Dabie Mountain， a natural ecological barrier makes Qichun a pure natural oxygen bar. Within the city， mountainous， plains， hills and rivers crisscross.Chilong Lake， the National wet land park， is the most beautiful river in Hubei. There are cultural relics， such as Li Shizhen Medicine Museum and Li Shizhen Cemetery. Daoism sacred place:Xianrentai Mountain. Buddism shrine Henggang Mountain and level AAAA tourist attraction--Wuyun Mountain ecological tourist attraction and Puyang cultural observation of Medicine tourist attraction. Hu Zhigao，Tang Chong，Li Shan and other elegant rural towns are health-friendly place for living and travelling.

钟灵秀美之境

蕲春，风景秀美宜人。地处神奇的北纬30度。大别山天然的“生态屏障”，让蕲春气候舒适，是纯自然、原生态的天然氧吧。境内山区、平原、丘陵、湖泊纵横交错，有湖北省最美湖泊——国家级湿地公园赤龙湖，有国家级文保单位李时珍药物馆、李时珍陵园，有道教圣地仙人台、佛教圣地横岗山和AAAA级旅游景区——雾云山生态旅游区、普阳观医道文化旅游区，有胡志高、汤冲、李山等一大批秀美乡村，是宜居宜游的康养之地。

Hometown of medical sage Li Shizhen

Qichun has a long history and culture. It was built in B.C. 201. For thousands of years， the Chinese medicine culture：“If not to be a good minister then be a good doctor”. Religion culture：“the best Qihuang zen Buddism，”“Both Southern and Northern Buddism preserved within Qichun”. Health preservation culture:“adaptation of the human body to natural environment”. Chu Ceramics culture:“Unextinguished Fire” integrated together. Medicine professional Li Shizhen in Ming Dynasty was born in Qichun. He wrote“Outline of Herb Medicine”，Which was phrased as “Oriental Medicine Masterpiece” and “Chinese ancient encyclopedia” and was listed in“Memory of the World Register”. Dongchang road， less than 100 meters long， historically described as “water flows over the red stones， scholars are wandering in the streets”. 100 Phd students were living. According to incomplete statistics， more than 4300 professors and professionals who work in famous universities in China and other countries come from Qichun. Thus Qichun was also praised as：“ professor county”-- an approachable land of literature.

医圣李时珍故里

蕲春，历史文化厚重。建县于公元前201年。千百年来，“不为良相，便为良医”的中医药文化、“蕲黄禅宗甲天下”“南北禅宗寓于蕲”的宗教文化、“天道自然天人相应”的养生文化、“千年炉火不熄”的楚陶文化在这里相互激荡、融合。明代伟大医药学家李时珍，就诞生在蕲春，他编撰的《本草纲目》，被誉为“东方医药巨典”和“中国古代的百科全书”，入选“世界记忆名录”。一条长不过百米的东长街，史称“水漫红石头，状元满街游”，走出了100多位博士。据不完全统计， 4300多位教授、专家遍布国内外知名院校，所以蕲春也有“教授县”的美誉，是可望可及的文昌之乡。

The city of health preservation

Qichun has distinctive industries. As the hometown of Li Shi zhen， we prioritize the branding of Li Shizhen and persist on development strategy:“collaboration of medicine and travel”， and activity develop the whole industry chain focused on medicine，medicine treatment and recreation. We established products with the national geography brand“Qi Ai”and other 1000 types of health care products. We constructed Li Shizhen cultural tourist district，“Qiai Town”，Li Shizhen Chinese hospital，Chinese Guan Kiln international art district and other recreational，therapeutic park. Qichun has become one of the first few Chinese medicine health care tourist institute. And it is a promising city of business and trades.

蕲春，产业特色鲜明。作为李时珍故里，我们高举高打李时珍品牌，坚持“药旅联动”发展战略，积极发展以医药、医疗、医养为主的全产业链，推出了以国家地理标志产品——“蕲艾”为主的1000多种康养产品，兴建了李时珍文化旅游区、蕲艾小镇、李时珍中医院、中国管窑国际艺术区等一批康养、康疗、生态观光园区，成为湖北省国家首批中医药健康旅游示范区创建单位之一，是宜商宜业的希望之城。
